PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
Modeling programs that describe Thermal Efficiency,
Acoustical Performance, Light Wave Sensitivity and Structural Performance
reports are also available from information supplied on the PROSPEC document.
Currently used program models include WINDOWS 3.1, a thermal performance model
developed by Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory for the United States Department of
Energy; ACCOUSTICAL GLAZING DESIGN PROGRAM from Monsanto Company and Guardian
Industries STRUCTURAL PERFORMANCE MANUAL.
Specific performance reports are available for several
Woodstone products that have been tested under ASTM performance certification
procedures at UNITED STATES TESTING COMPANY, INC. (Not affiliated with U.S.
government). However, because our products are custom manufactured to unique
specifications, standard performance certification standards do not apply.
Performance certification on specific product can be provided only when formal
testing of actual units designed for a given project is completed. Furthermore,
it is the clients responsibility to determine the fitness of a product for
specific applications. If there is any question concerning the
appropriate site application of a Woodstone product,
the client should consult an architect or engineer. Woodstone provides
performance certification services including Air and Water Infiltration,
Structural and Acoustical Performance and Fire Resistance. Performance results
currently on file for specific window applications include Air & Water
Infiltration and Structural & Acoustical performance.
